My baby is turning one in one week and one day, then she won't be my "baby" anymore. In the words of my neighbor she will be a "yearling" (I like that much better than toddler - it sounds sort of Lord Of the Rings-y).

In honor of my baby, I'm showing off pictures of my baby lion and tiger paintings. So much cuteness, I go "awe" while I'm painting!

Spring Green (Winter Weather)

Here are some simple and sweet spring greens to cheer you up on this blustery Nebraska day. (If you're out of state enjoying the sun, count your blessing, and please don't rub it in!)

I took a vacation day this Wednesday to spend a little extra time with my bug, and to avoid the potentially slippery streets once we start to get the predicted 5-8 inches of snowfall. I thought March was in like a lion and out like a lamb, but it's feeling pretty lion-y on this end-of-March day!

The bug has been experimenting with getting in and out of the Bumbo all on her own. As you can see, she needs a little more practice!

The temperature hit that magical number today - sunny and 70 degrees! I can't wait to show off these new spring log slice paintings. The dragonfly is my favorite, because I painted it in honor of my little bug, Maura, who we call our dragonfly. These paintings will be available exclusively my spring shows, and will not make an appearance in my Etsy shop until June.

I love the snow when I get to stay home cuddling and painting. On all other occasions the snow is my enemy.

Painting my Guacamole Mixed Magnets always makes my mouth water for creamy avocados, crunchy onions, and sweet red tomatoes. So, naturally, after making a couple of sets I had to run to the store for actual guacamole ingredients, and Jason and I went to bed with bellies full of guac last night! Yum!

I currently have two sets of these magnets ready to ship in my etsy shop:
